Ronsha Brown, APRN-C

Ronsha Brown is the founder and owner of Nurse Practitioners of Florida, LLC. She is an Adult Nurse Practitioner who specializes in gastroenterology and women’s health. She completed her Bachelor of Science in Nursing at Florida A & M University in Tallahassee, then earned her Master of Science degree at South University. She holds a national certification with the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners.

Shay — as she is lovingly called by family and friends — has devoted more than 17 years to outstanding patient care within her community. Born and raised in south St. Petersburg, Ms. Brown has always expressed her great love for the city and the new developments happening in the surrounding areas.

As a young child, her dream has always been to own a medical practice. She stepped out on faith and left corporate healthcare in 2018 to pursue her dream.

Ms. Brown’s professional medical career began quickly after graduating from college at FAMU. Shortly thereafter, she joined St. Anthony’s Hospital, where she spent more than 10 years providing patient care with BayCare — one of the leading not-for-profit care systems that connects individuals and families to a wide range of services throughout the state of Florida. While there, she served as an RN and assistant Nurse Manager within the hospital’s medical-surgical unit. At the same time, she served for four years as a nurse practitioner rape examiner with the Suncoast Rape Center in Pinellas County. She then expanded her medical career to specialize in gastroenterology with Gastro of Florida for the next three years managing inflammable bowel disease, irritable bowel syndrome, chronic constipation, GERD, cirrhosis, and pancreatitis.
